October Fun Is Behind Us

You'll have to look closely to see everyone in this picture. What a great group of youth! Thanks to everyone who helped out with the Trunk or Treat and the fall bazaar. Sign holders...car decorators...popcorn workers...fire builders...ticket takers...cleaner uppers...to everyone to served, thanks.

Congratulations to the 8th-9th grade class who won the youth high attendance competition! Your class will enjoy lunch out at Fuddruckers next Sunday. For details, see Maria Barbour.

We've been having a great time in youth choir this semester, and are learning several songs to perform at the Hanging of the Greens service on November 30. If you haven't joined us for choir on Sunday nights, you're invited to come give it a try. I think you'll really enjoy the chance to worship and have fun with us.

Next Wednesday night (November 19) the youth group will take a field trip the grocery store. We'll work in teams to fill grocery bags with canned foods and thanksgiving treats that will be shared with families in need this Thanksgiving. I would like each youth to bring $15 when you come on Wednesday to pay for your bag of food. This will be our November service project.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS...JANUARY 23-25 is Chillipepper. To find out more about Chillipepper, check out the link on our church website. The cost is $100/person plus 5 meals. If you're planning to go, I need a $50 deposit from you by Sunday, December 21. This is one of the highlight events for our youth group, so start saving your money and plan to attend!

Finally, join us Sunday night for a special baptism service. We are planning to baptize Margie Bruff and Ambur Hatcher. Please plan to attend in support of those two girls who have chosen to follow Jesus through baptism. If you have been wrestling with a commitment to Jesus, make sure you do whatever you can to make things right with Him today.
