This Friday evening is TRUNK OR TREAT on the ballfield from 6:30 to 8 p.m. This was great fun last year, and I look forward to another great night. Anyone is welcome to decorate their car/truck/vehicle and everyone is welcome to come enjoy free popcorn, drinks, face painting, and of course lots of candy.
As we begin the coming season of thanksgiving, I’m reminded of God’s special blessing through children. During Sunday night Discipleship class recently, I saw God’s hand at work in a preschooler. There wasn’t enough snack cake for everyone, so one of our five year olds shared hers with someone else. This same child was helping the other children follow instructions during class in a kind and gentle way. (A leader in the making!) Children often times are a wonderful example to one another and to adults as well. Jesus blessed the children, and they are a blessing to us! I’m thankful for the gift and joy of these little ones.
This month, the children’s mission groups are promoting “Operation Christmas Child”. Informational brochures are located throughout the church, or go on-line at www.samaritanspurse.org for details. The boxes are due by Wednesday, November 12. Thank you for your support of this mission project!
this Sunday is high attendance day....that means we want to see just how many people our church will hold! Please make a special effort to be there for Sunday school at 9:45 and participate in worship at 11 a.m. This is a great Sunday to bring a friend and neighbor, too!
In Christ,
Susan
