Michael has been at Mount Moriah since July of 2005. He is married to Carrie who is a full-time mom for their three sons, Jacob, Ethan, and Andrew. Prior to joining the ministry staff at Mount Moriah, Michael spent six years as the youth pastor of First Baptist Church in Tahoe City, CA. Michael graduated from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC, with a B.A. in theatre arts. He is a recent graduate of Campbell University Divinity School with a Master of Divinity degree.

Brad has served as Youth Minister at Mount Moriah Baptist since November 2010, and he and his family have been members since 2005. Brad is married to Alena and they have two children, Olivia and Nathan. He is currently attending Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies. Brad has a passion for sharing the love of Christ with others and for serving youth and their families. He enjoys fishing, playing golf, and NC State Wolfpack sports.

Susan and her husband Martin have been members of Mt. Moriah since 1993. They are parents of two daughters, Andrea and Jenni. As her children were growing up, Susan was a stay at home mom and was very involved in children's ministry at Mt. Moriah. In 2001, she was called into ministry and accepted the staff position as Children's Minister of Mt. Moriah. In 2006 Susan completed the Preschool/Children's certification program through Campbell University and the Baptist State Convention of NC. Through Christian education and a design for spiritual formation, it is Susan's vision for children to ultimately know and love God and follow Jesus. Susan's extra time is spent reading, listening to music and being with her family.

Our Minister of Music grew up in the foothills town of Lenoir, NC. He earned his music degree at Appalachian State University in 1975. While attending ASU, he served as Minister of Music at First Baptist Church, Mountain City, TN, where he met his wife, Anne. His seminary degree, Master of Church Music, was earned at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX in 1982. Following seminary, he served a church in Louisville, KY before returning to North Carolina in 1983. Since that time, he has served three churches; First Baptist Church, Newland; Temple Baptist Church in Raleigh and Mount Moriah Baptist Church. Allen enjoys golf, classic cars and woodworking. Allen and Anne have two sons; Christopher who lives in Greenville, NC and Aaron who lives in Raleigh.

Our church pianist grew up in the mountains of Tennessee-- Mountain City, TN to be exact. Anne began piano lessons in the 2nd grade. At age 11, she became the pianist in her home church, First Baptist Church of Mountain City. Anne attended ASU for one year then transferred to East Tennessee State University, graduating in 1979 with a degree in Elementary Education. While her husband attended seminary, Anne received her certification in Learning Disabilities and taught Special Education in the small Texas town in which they lived. Later in N.C., after their two boys were school age, Anne began her educator career with Wake County Schools. Her involvement in church music has always been foremost in her life. She has either volunteered or been on staff in each of the churches Allen has served.

Wendy Payne has been the ministry assistant at Mount Moriah since July, 2007. Wendy is more than a friendly voice on the phone. She has a true servant's heart, and sees her role as a ministry. Wendy enjoys supporting the work of our church with her creative and artistic talents as is evident in our weekly and monthly publications. She also keeps things orderly and organized so the office runs smoothly. Wendy and her husband, Allen, live in Clayton and are especially proud of their new granddaughter, Jordan.
